RedStone

Blockchain · Development Tools

RedStone is a modular oracle network designed to overcome the limitations of traditional push-based oracle models like Chainlink's Data Feeds. Instead of continuously updating prices on-chain regardless of whether anyone needs them (wasting gas on every update), RedStone introduces two delivery models: RedStone Core (calldata model) and RedStone Classic (push model). This architectural flexibility, combined with coverage of over 1,000 price feeds — including assets that Chainlink and Pyth do not cover — makes RedStone the oracle of choice for DeFi protocols working with liquid staking tokens, liquid restaking tokens, real-world assets, and long-tail cryptocurrency markets.

Best For

Nigerian DeFi developers needing flexible oracle integration — especially for long-tail assets, LSTs, and RWA tokens not covered by Chainlink or Pyth.

Pricing

RedStone uses an innovative data delivery model: price data is attached to transaction calldata (RedStone Core) or pushed on-chain (RedStone Classic). Strong coverage of LSTs, LRTs, and yield-bearing tokens.

Key Highlights

  • 1000+ price feeds including long-tail assets
  • RedStone Core (calldata model)
  • RedStone Classic (push model)
  • LST/LRT & RWA token feeds
  • Multi-chain EVM support
  • Modular oracle design
  • No gas overhead for unused feeds
  • Institutional data sources

Required Access Documents

  • No API Key RequiredOptional
RedStone Core integrates via SDK in smart contracts and frontends. No registration required for standard feeds.
  • RedStone SDKRequired
The @redstone-finance/evm-connector npm package wraps smart contracts to accept RedStone price data via calldata. Required for Core model integration.

Use Cases

  • Nigerian LST/LRT DeFi Protocol:Nigerian DeFi developers building yield protocols around liquid staking tokens (stETH, weETH, rsETH) can use RedStone's specialized LST and LRT feeds — which correctly price yield-bearing tokens at their true value including accrued yield — ensuring accurate collateral valuation.
  • RWA Tokenization Platform for Nigerian Assets:Nigerian platforms tokenizing real-world assets (government bonds, real estate, commodities) can leverage RedStone's RWA price feeds to maintain accurate on-chain valuations for tokenized assets, enabling DeFi composability for Nigerian RWA-backed products.
  • Long-tail Token DeFi Protocol for Nigerian Altcoin Markets:Nigerian DeFi protocols supporting emerging altcoins and tokens not listed on Chainlink or Pyth can use RedStone's 1000+ feeds — which cover far more assets than competing oracles — to build lending and trading protocols around the full breadth of the Nigerian crypto market.
