eBills is a Nigerian digital payments platform, operated by FraNKAPPWeb Technologies and based in Awka, Nigeria, that lets businesses and developers programmatically sell VTU (Virtual Top-Up) services. The eBills API is a RESTful, JWT-authenticated API covering airtime top-ups for MTN, Glo, Airtel, and 9mobile; data bundles across all major Nigerian networks plus Smile; cable TV subscription renewals for DStv, GOtv, Startimes, and Showmax; electricity bill payments across roughly a dozen Nigerian distribution companies (including IKEDC, EKEDC, and KEDCO); recharge card (ePIN) printing for all networks; and betting wallet funding for platforms such as Bet9ja, SportyBet, and BetKing, among others.
Nigerian developers and fintech apps that want low-fee, discount-priced VTU and bill-payment resale without building direct telco/biller integrations
No published sandbox/test environment was found; integration testing appears to happen against the live/production API using a funded wallet. Authentication tokens (JWT) expire after 7 days and must be refreshed. Daily transaction limits scale with KYC tier, so higher-volume integrators will need to complete BVN or full identity verification. Rate limiting exists (429 errors) but no fixed requests-per-minute figure is published.
