EBANX is a Brazil-founded cross-border payments platform, with roughly 11 years in the market, that helps global brands accept and settle payments in emerging markets. It provides pay-in (accepting local payment methods), payouts, FX conversion, and card tokenization infrastructure, giving merchants a single integration to reach shoppers across more than 20 countries in Latin America, Africa, and Asia rather than negotiating separately with dozens of local acquirers and banks.
Global/international merchants (e-commerce, SaaS, gaming, streaming, marketplaces) expanding into Nigeria and other emerging markets who need Nigerian-preferred payment methods (Bank Transfer, OPay, cards, USSD) plus cross-border settlement, rather than Nigerian-only startups seeking a lightweight local-only gateway.
EBANX is built primarily for international/global merchants expanding into emerging markets rather than for Nigerian-only startups wanting a quick self-serve signup like Paystack or Flutterwave; onboarding is contract-based. Pricing is commission-based and individually negotiated, with no public flat-rate fee page. Sandbox testing is available at sandbox.ebanx.com using separate test credentials/test cards from production. JWS (signed requests) is the recommended authentication method going forward; the legacy Integration Key is being phased out.
